Great. You downloaded one of the custom made (DF11) skins!
Follow the steps below to install the skin into Football Manager.
Windows OS users need 'Winrar' (or 7zip) to extract the downloaded file.
Mac OS users need 'The Unarchiver' to extract the downloaded file.
4 - Start your Football Manager 20** game and open the in-game settings 'Preferences > Interface'.
* Click the "Clear Cache" button 1x.
* Untick the following line: "Use caching to decrease page loading times".
* Tick ON: "Reload skin when confirming changes in preferences".
Preferably: Untick - "Show pictures of players generated by the game".
* Confirm the changes to reload the skin.
There should be a box that pops up saying: "loading image data for the new skin".
Once this is done the newly added skin should be visible in the skin selector of your FM game.

Downloaded skin files will have the RaR extension and can be extracted with Winrar/Unarchiver.
These steps will work for all versions of Football Manager.
1 - Download the skin that matches your version of Football Manager.
For example >>> Skins created for FM2018 will only work in FM2018.
Once the extraction is ready, a folder (name of the skin) will appear.
3 - Move the extracted folder 'name of the skin' to the correct Football Manager location on your Windows or Mac system:
WINDOWS >> Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 20** \Skins
MAC >> Users\Username\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 20**\Skins
MAC Catalina >> Username\Library\Application Support\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2020\Skins
Note: Create the 'skins' folder yourself if it doesn't already at the indicated location.
